In the light of Albert Nolan’s contributions during our anniversary celebrations and flowing from the COP17 climate conference end-2011 in Durban, our focus during the first semester of 2012 will be on ‘Earth Awareness’. Our regular Quiet Days begin on 4 February in Stellenbosch (see below).
During the second part of 2012 the Centre’s focus will be on ‘Nonviolent spirituality’ with a new course to be developed around the theme of nonviolence and resistance.

Workshop: The Twelve Steps to a Life of Compassion
Following the world wide launch of the Charter for Compassion Karen Armstrong has written a book she calls “Twelve Steps to a Life of Compassion” because she says we are all addicted to our egos so the Twelve Steps recovery programme is apposite. This is a workshop in 12 parts and ideally should be undertaken by a multi faith group. I would be willing to facilitate such a group next year.
If you are interested in being part of this workshop please contact Christine Terry on christineterry@telkomsa.net.
