Cherishing the Wound

On WOMEN’S DAY, 9 AUGUST, SUSAN GROVES will be in conversation with MARY BURTON on Susan’s two recently published books – Cherishing the Wound and Presence in Relationship – Offering Core Process Psychotherapy. Please join the Centre for Christian Spirituality at ERIN HALL, Erin Road, RONDEBOSCH at 3.45 for a 4 o’clock start. RSVP to by 5 August. Books will be available to purchase.

Maybe when we’re closest to the wound, we’re also the closest to beauty. Perhaps the wound is the gift.

SUSAN has trained and worked in the fields of social work, theology and psychotherapy. Her first book is Pleasure-in-relating (Hands-on imprint, Modjaji.)
MARY BURTON was a commissioner on the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and her forthcoming book on the TRC is due out later this year (Jacana).


Benin – Pilgrimage of Trust

On the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month at the Centre for Christian Spirituality,1 Chapel Lane, Rosebank at 7pm.

*Taizé is an ecumenical community in France, which has reconciliation with Christ and the world as the focus of its ministry. Worship is quiet and reflective, deeply peaceful and joyful, including four-part harmony chants in many languages, silences, prayers and readings.
