Writing school at ‘Woordfees’

The Centre presented a writing school for Christian and spiritual writers on Saturday 7 March as part of the ‘Woordfees’ (Word Festival) in Stellenbosch. It was well attended by 30 people whom were greatly stimulated by input from theologian John de Gruchy (Being human: confessions of a Christian humanist and Led into mystery: Faith seeking answers in life and death), novelist Bettina Wyngaard (Jan Rabie -Rapport prize winner for Troos van die gebrokenes; Vuilspel), Carel Anthonissen (writer of daily meditations and poet taken up in anthologies Africa! My Africa! and Heart of Africa! – ed. Patricia Schoenstein) and Gideon van der Watt of the Christian Literature Fund (CLF).
