Danish encounter a highlight

Danish encounter a highlight

The Centre has once again very successfully hosted a two week tour/ pilgrimage for Danes to the Western Cape. They were especially enthused by the personal encounters they had with South Africans at the numerous organisations we’ve visited and felt they were able to so have a first-hand experience of our context and challenges.

To quote Danish tour leader Steen Andreassen:

“For the whole group I believe it was the tour of their life. The tour became an internal journey on top of the external tour. For some it might become a life changing experience!”

Thanks to all our partner organisations whom we could visit. In the process we hope to do our bit in changing attitudes regarding north-south relations by building friendships and relationships. The fact that the Danish visitors could attend a workshop with South Africans and so hear first hand of their experiences, was a highlight to the Danes.

We will continue to look at offering pilgrimages as part of what we bring to the world.
